A five minute video and 2 hour slide lecture exploring background and in depth methods/symbols
employed for trauma treatment (both physical and spiritual) at the
clinic of Dr. Bao (Borchegin) Renquinzhongnai, a currently practicing and successful
bone doctor/healer of Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia. Examples of different
types of curing will be presented, such as acupuncture, massage, bone setting
and manipulation, exorcism for spirit posession, soul retrieval and Mongolian
"energy clearing" as an urbanized and modernized form of shamanic practice.
